I think Pedro will step up this time and shut down the Yankees. This is what he lives for. The thing the Phils need to do is make the Yankees feel panic. Get them to thinking about 04 when they were up 3-0 to the Red Sox.

Totally forgot about my boy Godzilla... Matsui is killing this series-

After his second at bat tonight-

7 for 11 aka .636 batting average, with 3 home runs and 6 RBIs and if they Yanks win tonight he will have hit a home run in 3 out of their 4 wins... Wish he was healthy enough to play the field and get more shots at bat...

Damn, Matsui was unbelievable last night.

The Yanks were the better team.

All through the series when the Yankees got runners on base, they scored them and the Phillies did not and that was the difference.

Hopefully we can get a remach next year.

Can I just say Damn I'm good?

Matsui stole the MVP last night and is more than deserving. I was still very impressed by Utley.

The Phillies will be back. I am pretty sure of that. That pitching rotation is pretty secure. That wins championships. MLB really needs to get a salary cap.

Oh yeah. They're going to have pretty much the exact same team back next year. They aren't losing any contributors. I think Scott Eyre and Matt Stairs will retire, Myers will move on and (after seeing what he had last night) Pedro will be gone.

They have one of the best line ups in baseball locked up for at least a couple more years and the top 4 in their rotation is pretty well established. They'll need to add a couple arms in the bullpen (and cross their fingers that Lidge can get his mojo back and at least be average) and add some talent to the bench.

I think Lidge's knee caused him his issues this year. He has it fixed, so add in the time to strengthen it and hopefully he will repeat 2008.
