Sometimes, i'd say a third of the time, when i use creatine in my pre workout shake, i'll get a ragin' stomachache and feel nauseous. I'm using GNC Pro Performance Creatine Monohydrate, and I try to mix it with milk and Whey protein. Also, I've only been in the lifting and supplementing part of my life for about 5 weeks.
Any ideas? Switch the Creatine for an NO? Only do creatine postwo? Creatine HCL?

First off, $40 for 2.2 lbs of creatine mono? You can get it much cheaper than that. The creatine may not be the cause of your stomach aches, it could be a lack of water, or too much creatine at one time, that causes it. Creatine intake shouldnt exceed 10g a day, and loading phases are crap, dont utilize them. If you lower creatine amount or increase your water intake and still have stomach aches, it could be that your body is trying to adjust to the the new protein content. If you still have stomach pains after a couple of days afterwards, then you have a crazy stomach virus that will surely kill you. Just kidding, but maybe you sould see a doctor if the pain persists.

x2 to the above...although I have never got on well with Creatine myself, it causes me the same isues. Sometimes your body just doesn't like certain things.

How much creatine are you using?
Maybe it's the combination of whey and milk?
Try mixing about 5g of creatine, which should be about 2 teaspoons (check your label) in water and stir it up so it disolves completely.

First thing I would do is to change the brand of creatine I was using. Buy creatine mono - any brand you want so long as it says creapure on the label. FWIW, I buy Ultimate Nutrition.

I had the same problem when I first started training. It turned out to be the protein before hand, my stomach would cramp up because I needed something other than protein. Try it without your protein.
Protein is not a viable source of immediate energy, and the first place your body goes to for energy is what's in your stomach. Which is why trainers tell you to wait 1-3 hours after eating before you train.
I've never been able to workout with a preworkout protein shake, I keel over with stomach cramps and nausea. Try it with gatorade, or juice, that's what my brand recommends
